NASCAR Cup Series Predictions at Texas

Tyler Reddick showing three fingers in victory lane commemorating his third win in the 2022 season.

The Round of 12 begins this Sunday for the NASCAR Cup Series at Texas Motor Speedway at 3:30 PM EST on USA.

Tyler Reddick won last year’s chaotic event after flat tires would take out drivers one by one throughout the 400 mile race.

Kyle Larson +500 | Top 3 +140 | Top 10 -370

Kyle Larson enters as the favorite, looking to replicate the same race he had at Darlington. He has a win at Texas in 2021 when he went on to win the Cup Championship. Larson has been close to winning at 1.5 mile tracks this season, finishing 2nd to teammate William Byron at Las Vegas and 2nd to Denny Hamlin at Spring Kansas in controversial fashion. Look out for Larson on Sunday.

William Byron +700 | Top 3 +200 | Top 10 -270

Entering the Round of 12 with a +25 point cushion, William Byron is looking to build on that gap this weekend. Texas has been a track where Byron has struggled at in the past, but in his last two starts he finished 2nd in 2021 and 7th in 2022. He has two wins on 1.5 mile tracks this season at Las Vegas and Atlanta. He’ll be looking to add a third win this Sunday.

Tyler Reddick +700 | Top 3 +200 | Top 10 -270

After winning at Kansas, the points reset for Tyler Reddick puts him back to just +3 points above the cutoff. He’ll be looking to keep the momentum rolling with 23XI Racing as he’s the defending winner of this race last year. With their recent success at Kansas, the expectations are high on the #45 team. There’s no room for error, something that Reddick will look to stay away from this weekend.

Ryan Blaney +1000 | Top 3 +300 | Top 10 -170

Ryan Blaney enters -6 points to the cutoff at Texas, a track where he’s had great success in the past. Blaney has finished inside the Top 10 in eight of his last nine starts at the 1.5 mile quad oval. With a win in the Coca-Cola 600 back in May, the #12 Penske Ford Mustang will look to finally reach over that hump and drive into victory lane this Sunday.

Brad Keselowksi +1600 | Top 3 +450 | Top 10 -120

Last year Brad Keselowski started this race from the pole and was able to come away with an 8th place finish in what was an abysmal 2022 season. One year later, and the RFK Racing team as a whole have been getting hot at the right time. Brad has finished inside the Top 10 in his last four starts at Texas and in his last four starts entering this weekend. He’ll be making his 28th Cup start at Texas, still in search for his first win at the 1.5 mile racetrack.

Joey Logano +2500 | Top 3 +650 | Top 10 +130

In last year’s race, Joey Logano started 2nd and finished 2nd. After being eliminated from the Playoffs last week at Bristol, only one goal remains for the #22 team: WIN. Texas has been a track where Joey Logano has won before back in 2014. Logano has finished inside the Top 10 in 10 of his last 12 starts at Texas. He’ll be looking to upset some Playoff drivers this Sunday.
