It’ll be a warm race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series this Saturday for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300. Coverage begins at 1:30PM EST on FS1.

Last year’s race in the Fall was won by John Hunter Nemechek, with a late race pass on Parker Kligerman with seven laps to go.

Chandler Smith +300

The move to Joe Gibbs Racing for Chandler Smith is paying off, as he’s the new favorite to win the Xfinity Series championship. He’s finished every race inside the Top 10 and has snagged a couple of wins at Phoenix and Richmond. He finished 4th in last year’s race at Texas and 3rd at Las Vegas back in March. Expect Smith to be in the hunt once again on Saturday.

Justin Allgaier +450

Justin Allgaier led 133 laps in last year’s race en route to a 5th place finish, after getting tangled with Parker Kligerman in the closing laps. He’s finished inside the Top 5 in four of his last five starts at Texas. Allgaier is still looking for his first win at Texas this weekend as he makes his 27th Xfinity start at the 1.5 mile oval. There’s a good chance that the #7 could score the first win for JR Motorsports this weekend.

Cole Custer +500

Cole Custer finished runner up to John Hunter Nemechek at Las Vegas earlier this year, still on the hunt for his first win of the season. He’s won at Texas back in 2018 and has finished inside the Top 10 in six of his seven starts at the 1.5 mile track. Custer did win pole at Las Vegas, and there’s a good chance he wins on Saturday IF he wins pole again, given how hard it is to make passes at the current configuration of Texas.

Ryan Truex +800

Ryan Truex will make his third start of the season this Saturday for Joe Gibbs Racing. His last start was a Top 10 finish in Atlanta, and his last start at Texas in 2022 was a strong 6th place finish. Truex is looking to continue the dominance for Joe Gibbs Racing, as they’ve won four of the last five Xfinity races.

Sheldon Creed +1200

Sheldon Creed also made the move to Joe Gibbs Racing in the off season, although he’s had more hiccups along the way this season. He’s either running inside or near the Top 5, or he’s outside the Top 25. Texas is the track where he’s finished inside the Top 10 in his the last two starts. Creed could be in the right place at the right time this weekend, where there was a late pass for the lead inside the final 10 laps of each race last year.
