NASCAR Xfinity Series Predictions at Charlotte ROVAL

AJ Allmendinger celebrates in victory lane following his Charlotte ROVAL win in 2022.

NASCAR heads back onto the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL this weekend for the Drive for the Cure 250 at 3PM EST on NBC.

Last year AJ Allmendinger was able to keep Ty Gibbs behind as he won his fourth straight race at the Charlotte ROVAL.

Justin Allgaier +300

Entering this weekend as the favorite, Justin Allgaier already has a win in the opening round of the Playoffs. He’ll be looking to add another win on the season and build on his Playoff points for the next round. He finished 5th last year, the highest amongst those returning to race this Saturday. He won earlier in the year on the oval, now he’ll look to win for the first time on the ROVAL configuration.

Sam Mayer +350

Sam Mayer enters this weekend 12th in the Playoffs, -34 points from the cutoff line. It’s a must win for the driver of the #1 JR Motorsports Camero, where he’s won both of his races this season on road courses. Mayer has had three straight DNF’s, where he’s looking to end that streak. However, he’ll be looking to continue a streak of Top 3 finishes on road courses in his last three starts.

Sheldon Creed +1000

With just +9 points to his name heading into the weekend, Sheldon Creed will be looking to advance into the next round of the Playoffs. He’ll be looking to settle some unfinished business, after leading 18 laps in last season’s race, he finished 16th. Not to mention the most recent Xfinity road course race, Creed was one lap away from winning, before losing the lead to Sam Mayer heading to the white flag. Creed will continue to search for that first Xfinity win this Saturday.

Jordan Taylor +1300

Entering this weekend for Kaulig Racing, Jordan Taylor will have an opportunity to bring Kaulig to victory lane for the fifth straight year at the ROVAL. He has a start earlier this year at Portland, finishing 27th after qualifying 6th. He knows his way around road courses, there’s some value to Taylor this weekend.

Boris Said +1800

At the age of 61, Boris Said is still making his way around the motorsports world. This weekend could be his last start in NASCAR competition, and he’ll have a fighting chance to win. He’s piloting the #17 HendrickCars.com Camero for Hendrick Motorsports. Said has been known to run for underfunded teams in the past, but with Hendrick equipment, it could see the return of Boris Said to victory lane for the first time since 2010 in Montreal.

Myatt Snider +2000

Myatt Snider enters this weekend as the driver for the #19 Tree Top Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing for the third time this season. With finishes of 5th at Daytona and 6th at Portland, it’s safe to say that Snider has made the most of his opportunities in JGR equipment so far. Saturday will mark his fourth straight year making an appearance at the Charlotte ROVAL with a different team. Despite all that, his worse finish at the ROVAL was 14th. Snider will be one to watch out for this weekend.
