NASCAR Cup Series Predictions at Nashville

NASCAR Cup Series competition returns to Nashville for the Ally 400 this Sunday at 7:00 PM ET on NBC.

With the race now taking place at night, this provides cooler temperatures for race fans to enjoy the race more and avoid the 90° heat. It also will provide more grip for the Cup drivers on the 1.33 mile concrete oval.

Kyle Larson enters as the favorite to win Nashville. Having won back in 2021 and a 4th place finish in last year’s race, the #5 looks to continue to gain momentum as the Playoffs loom closer.

Ross Chastain is another driver who’s looking for momentum. He’s looking to build off a Top 10 performance last week at Sonoma, and there’s no better place than Nashville to build off that success. He finished 2nd in 2021 and secured 5th in last year’s race. Trackhouse will return to their winning ways very soon.

Kevin Harvick is another driver looking to return to his winning ways. Nashville has been a solid track for him, finishing 5th in 2021 and 10th in last year’s race. Only 25 points away from leading the standings, a Top 5 run should put Kevin closer to those 15 bonus points for the Regular Season Points Championship.

Denny Hamlin has had an up and down last few weeks. Since his win at Kansas, he finished 12th at Darlington, 35th at Charlotte, 2nd at Gateway, and 36th at Sonoma. Hamlin had a car that could’ve won last year at Nashville, finishing 6th while leading the most laps with 114. Expect Hamlin to be the top Toyota on Sunday.

Alex Bowman started 2023 with 6 Top 10 finishes in the first 7 races, since then he has yet to record a Top 10 finish. He finished 14th last season but don’t let that finish fool you. With the success that Hendrick Motorsports has had at Nashville, Bowman is due to have a Top 10 run soon. It could be as soon as this Sunday night.
