NASCAR Truck Series Predicitions at Nashville

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to Nashville Superspeedway. The 1.33 mile concrete oval will host all three national NASCAR series this weekend, with the Rackley Roofing 200 kicking it off.

Ryan Preece led 74 of the 150 laps in last year’s race en route to a second straight victory at Nashville. However, he isn’t partaking in the event this year since this race is apart of the Triple Truck Challenge.

Cup Series drivers are not allowed to participate in the Triple Truck Challenge. Since Ryan Preece moved into the #41 Stewart Haas Ford Mustang full time in 2023, this opens the door for a new winner in this year’s event.

Zane Smith has been close to winning in each race. He finished 4th in 2021 and finished 2nd in last year’s race, leading 70 of the 150 laps. He has an average finish of 2nd, and enters as the favorite to win the 2023 contest.

Stewart Friesen is another driver who has been close to reaching victory lane. He’s finished 5th in both races and has finished inside the Top 5 in three of the last five races. Look for the #52 to be a contender tonight.

Ty Majeski is looking for a bounce back race after his first DNF of the season at Gateway. He’s finished 8th in 2021 and finished 4th in last year’s race. Expect the #66 to ruffle some feathers as he looks to score his first win in 2023.

Matt Crafton is a wild card tonight, but Nashville has been one of his better tracks over the past two years. He finished 6th in 2021 and 10th in last year’s race. After losing a Top 10 last week at Gateway due to a flat tire on the final restart, look for the #88 to show some speed for a Top 10 run tonight.

Zane Smith (+400)

Ty Majeski (+500)

Stewart Friesen (+1200)

Matt Crafton (+5000)
