Kyle Larson +300
Since the move to Hendrick Motorsports, Kyle Larson has raced three times in Xfinity Series road course races. He’s finished inside the Top 3 in each race, including a win at Watkins Glen in 2022. One of many drivers doing double duty this weekend, Kyle Larson will be searching for his first win at COTA in any series.
AJ Allmendinger +300
AJ Allmendinger has finished first or second in every Xfinity race at COTA. His average finish on road courses last year was 3rd, with his worst finish at Road America in 9th. He’s won the last two races at COTA and will be looking to make it three straight years of winning in the Xfinity Series on Saturday.
Shane van Gisbergen +450
Shane van Gisbergen took the leap from competing in Supercars to the ranks of NASCAR. He won in his first NASCAR start at the Chicago Street Course last year and is racing full time for Kaulig Racing, the same team that has AJ Allmendinger. It’ll be a friendly competition for the Kiwi as he looks for his first career Xfinity win.
Sam Mayer +1500
Sam Mayer ended the 2023 season on an absolute tear, finally breaking through and winning his first career Xfinity win at Road America. He would go on to win again at Watkins Glen, the ROVAL, and at Homestead. Needless to say, he’s mastered the road course scene. Mayer has an average finish of 6th at COTA and despite not having a Top 10 this season, this will be the race that saves his season from a downward spiral.
Sheldon Creed +1500
Sheldon Creed let a couple of road course races slip away last year, in Portland and Watkins Glen. He’s had Top 10 finishes in both starts at COTA and led 16 laps last season. Creed will be a sneaky driver this weekend, as he’s still looking to claim his first career win in the Xfinity Series.
