Best Bets for Xfinity |

Shane van Gisbergen -110 | Top 5 -700

Shane van Gisbergen enters this weekend as the favorite for not only the Xfinity race but the Cup race as well. The reason is that he’s been one of the best road course racers in the Xfinity Series this season. All three of his wins came from road courses in Portland, Sonoma, and Chicago. SVG enters this weekend -10 points below the cutoff, so he’ll need to put on a clinic to have a shot at advancing to the next round.

AJ Allmendinger +275 | Top 5 -250

AJ Allmendinger enters this weekend +7 points above the cutoff at his best race track on the Xfinity Series. He’s made four career Xfinity starts on the ROVAL and has won in every single start from 2019-2022. He missed last year’s Xfinity race because he was full time in the Cup Series and couldn’t partake in the race, so he went ahead and won the Cup race the next day. Allmendinger will look to keep his win streak at the ROVAL alive this weekend.

Sam Mayer +900 | Top 5 +120

Sam Mayer was the biggest beneficiary of AJ Allmendinger not taking part in last year’s Xfinity ROVAL, because he was the winner. Mayer led an astounding 50 laps out of the 67 scheduled laps. Three of Mayer’s six Xfinity wins came on road courses, so it’s nothing new to the 21-year-old Wisconsin native. He enters this weekend -13 points below the cutoff this weekend, looking to avoid elimination with a strong showing on the ROVAL this Saturday.

Connor Mosack +2000 | Top 5 +260

Connor Mosack will make his second Xfinity start of the season for JR Motorsports, finishing 6th in his only start this season at the Chicago Street Course. Mosack has one Top 5 and three Top 10s in 27 Xfinity starts, all of which came from road courses, his best being 5th from Watkins Glen last year. Mosack has the equipment to contend for the win, Sam Mayer proved that last year. He’ll look to play spoiler for the Playoff drivers this weekend.

Parker Kligerman +2000 | Top 5 +260

Parker Kligerman enters this weekend -16 points below the cutoff. While it’s possible for him to advance without a win, it seems more likely that he’ll need to win with the amount of road course racers in the field. Kligerman has a win himself on a road course at Mid-Ohio in 2022. Kligerman has also finished inside the Top 10 in every road course race this season, and has a better average finish (6th) than SVG (7th). He finished 6th in his only ROVAL start last year, looking to best that with a win in his last season chasing a championship.

Josh Bilicki +3500 | Top 5 +400

Josh Bilicki will make his 16th Xfinity start this season on Saturday, but it’ll be his second start in the #19 for Joe Gibbs Racing. Bilicki’s first start with JGR came at Portland where he finished 12th. The best finish for the #19 this season came in Chicago, where Ty Gibbs finished 2nd. Bilicki will be looking to best that finish with a potential career changing win on Satruday.
